The Canadian PPE Network Welcomes You

PSW's Partnering Everywhere.

Home: Welcome

MISSION STATEMENT

Here at The Canadian PPE Network, we are driven by a single goal: to do our part in making the world a better place for all PSWs and frontline Healthcare workers at ground level.

As PSWs, we are all actively working in the field, and we follow Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs - which is to care for the person as a whole.

We do the same for our PSWs.

We care for our PSWs, members, partners and sponsors as a whole.

Our decision-making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high-quality data collected from our colleagues and peers within the health care industry.

We strive to build productive relationships & make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.

Who We Are

We are PSWs. Personal Support Workers.

We are the ones who take care of our community’s most vulnerable and those in need. We provide care in a variety of settings that range from their own private homes, to retirement and nursing homes. We provide the most intimate of care that is anything from feeding and dressing, to showering and toileting. We assist them to doctor appointments, we prepare their meals, we ensure their safety, and dignity is intact at all times. We communicate with nurses and families to properly monitor their health and wellbeing.

We care for those who need it most when families are unable; we are also the ones to support the families and their loved ones when they pass on.

PSWs keep the CARE in Healthcare.

We are completely run and organized by PSWs, and others who serve directly in the front line of Healthcare.

We are the circulatory system of Healthcare. In a world where society continues to age in large numbers, we find PSWs are also leaving at an equally alarming rate. We need to ensure our PSWs who provide these critical care services are staying in the field, and are properly taken care of to ensure the care being provided is the best, top quality care possible.

There are very few supports for PSWs, and they often turn to their peers and colleagues for support, because only they truly know what the life of a PSW and frontline worker is like.
Our goal is to provide these monumentally important resources for our care providers who continually put their own personal health and well being aside, just so they can keep the care in health care.

If we don’t take care of the PSWs, who will be left to take care of our parents and grandparents - or us?

Say Something (We Won't Give Up On You)

"It's time to stop hurting our healers."

We’ve been silent for too long, accepting atrocious, inhumane, and sometimes deadly behavior by patients— and occasionally fellow colleagues — as part of our “job description.” This has to end.

ZdoggMD.com created this video (inspired by Say Something by Great Big World & Christina Aguilera) because we felt that we needed to say something…but beyond that, we need to do something.

Thank you to Dr. Zubin Damania, MD for granting us permission to showcase his video to help bring awareness that supports and resources need to be put in place for our front line workers.

Everywhere.
